Catherine Keyl shared this week that she has not been able to stand or walk for six weeks due to unexplained pain in her hip. The 77-year-old former presenter is now inundated with sweet messages and good advice, she tells ANP.
The former Coffee time-coryfee has had to cancel her media appearances for the time being. Doctors have already conducted several tests to find out what could be wrong. “I still don’t know what exactly I have,” says Keyl. “An MRI scan will be made on Monday. What I find most frustrating is that I still have no clarity. Hopefully that will change next week.”
She calls the messages people send her “heartwarming”. “They give me advice on how to feel better and wish me the nicest things. Some people even offer to buy groceries for me because I can no longer walk myself.”
Keyl also receives a lot of support from former colleagues. “Even people who are super busy these weeks take the trouble to support me. But I am tired of being so dependent.”
