Starting April 24, 2025, Cathay Pacific will offer a new direct route between Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Hong Kong, strengthening its presence in North America and opening new connection opportunities between the United States and Asia.
This non-stop service will allow passengers from the southern United States to more conveniently access the financial heart of Asia, cementing Hong Kong’s importance as a gateway to China and other Asian nations.
The route will be operated by the modern Airbus A350-1000, known to be one of the quietest and most environmentally friendly aircraft in the skies, providing passengers with a comfortable and efficient experience. It will be available four times a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Flight CX897 will take off from Dallas at 11:55 pm and land in Hong Kong two days later at 5:05 am, while return flight CX898 will depart Hong Kong at 4:05 pm. and will arrive in DFW at 5:55 p.m. of the same day.

The Airbus A350-1000 is designed to maximize comfort on long-haul flights, offering a flight with in-flight entertainment, spacious seats and Wi-Fi connectivity in all classes: Business, Premium Economy and Economy. In addition, Cathay Pacific has collaborated with prestigious Hong Kong restaurants, such as Louise, Pirata and Duddell’s, to offer a unique dining offering on board, highlighting the region’s iconic flavors.
Expansion of connectivity in North America
With this new route, Cathay Pacific continues to strengthen its network in North America. The company currently has 88 weekly flights between Hong Kong and key destinations such as Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver. From May 2025, this number will increase to 108 weekly flights, including additional frequencies to New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Likewise, services to Canada will also increase, with two daily flights to Vancouver and 13 weekly flights to Toronto.
