Ciamis News, (harapanrakyat.com), – The cempaka tree next to the Cileungsir Village football field, Rancah District, Ciamis Regency, West Java was attacked by caterpillar pests. The caterpillar pest attack is increasingly rampant, making residents restless. Worried about the effects of itching.
Eva Nurlela, a civil servant who works in Rancah sub-district, said that caterpillar attacks on cempaka trees were considered normal at first.
“But over time, there are more and more and it interferes with the activities of residents. Especially if the hot air spreads everywhere,” he said, Tuesday (24/5/2022).
In addition, Eva continued, the cempaka tree that was attacked by caterpillars was near a canteen.
“Automatically, the traders and buyers in the canteen became restless. Apart from being disgusted to see it, we are also worried that we will get itchy because of the caterpillar,” he continued.
Eva added that residents who are afraid something unwanted will happen, report it to the sub-district.
