The aim of the lawsuit is that the closure of restaurants, imposed by the cabinet in connection with the corona virus, will be lifted immediately. Last week the cabinet announced a package of stricter measures to reduce the outbreak. Restaurants, lunchrooms and cafes have to close their doors for a month, but take-out is still possible.

However, the Outbreak Management Team (OMT), which advises the cabinet on the corona policy, suggested a day later that restaurants could possibly remain open. They must then continue to perform health checks and the 1.5 meter distance must be guaranteed.

Koninklijke Horeca Nederland (KHN) said in response to the preliminary relief proceedings that they fully understand this going to court.
