Procurement offices in all governorates continue to receive orders Add births On ration cards, for four categories of ration card holders, solidarity and dignity pension recipients, service supplementary card holders, social solidarity pension recipients, children of martyrs and their wives and children of alternative families, provided that the age of the children to be added is not less than four years.
The Ministry of Supply and Domestic Trade aims to add to the ration cards infants of the most favored families with a maximum of 4 individuals to the card. For example, the card which has two registered individuals “husband and wife” is entitled to add 2 children, and the card that has 3 persons registered can add one more person, to exchange food goods worth EGP 50 per month for each person registered on the card through branches of consumer complexes and exchange points scattered throughout the governorates of the Republic, where the Ministry of supply makes available about 31 foodstuffs and types of foodstuffs on the ration card within the rationing courses, in addition to the provision of subsidized bread at the value of 5 piastres per loaf at the rate of 5 loaves daily ration card for each member of the register.
The conditions for adding births to ration cards for these categories stipulated that the age of the children to be added should not be less than four years old, and included the card holder’s name, national number, ration card number, the number of members, the individuals to be added and their matriculation numbers, and the Ministry of Supply has asked the directorates to send requests to add births to the ration cards. The lists and documents are sent weekly by the Director of the Directorate of Supply to the General Office of the Ministry of Supply.
And the Ministry of Supply and Domestic Trade has started receiving requests to add births ration cardsby procurement directorates in certain governorates, for four categories of ration card holders, and the application data will be reviewed with the relevant authorities to ensure its validity.
