A civil insurance policy is a document without which it is impossible to drive a car. But not many people know that there are several categories of drivers whom the police do not have the right to fine for such a violation.
In general, the lack of an insurance policy is a fairly serious violation, which provides for administrative liability in the form of a fine in the amount of 425 UAH.
Procedure and conditions of driver insurance
According to clause 13.1 of the law “On compulsory insurance of civil liability of owners of land vehicles” No. 1961-IV dated July 1, 2004, drivers who personally drive a car they own cannot be held administratively liable for the lack of an insurance policy:
combatants; victims of the Revolution of Dignity; persons with disabilities resulting from war; disabled people of group I
In addition, drivers cannot be fined for driving a vehicle without insurance if they are driving a group I disabled person who owns the car.
