Amazfit continues to expand its portfolio of smart watches and we are waiting disclosure of the Active model. Although the name might be a bit confusing, the watch does not have a rougher look, quite the opposite. We have before us an elegant and light watch with a weight of only 24 grams. The body is made of aluminum alloy and plastic, or stainless steel and plastic, in the case of the Lavender Purple variant. The straps are available in either basic silicone or vegan leather.
The attraction will certainly be the large AMOLED display, whose diagonal has stopped at 1.75″ and expect a resolution of 390 × 450 pixels. Amazfit has also put a protective glass and a special layer that should repel fingerprints and thus make the display still easy to read.
The watch is equipped, for example, with a microphone and speaker, thanks to which you can make calls directly from your wrist through the paired phone. Pairing takes place via Bluetooth 5.2 and a device with Android or iOS. This time, Amazfit also brags about internal memory, for example for music, but 250 MB is really not a lot. You can rely on the measurement of heart rate, blood oxygenation, stress or individual stages of sleep. The equipment also traditionally features Zepp Coach, which is an artificial intelligence that tries to help you with a training plan.
During outdoor sports, you will appreciate the integrated GNSS receiver, which combines GPS, QZSS, Beidou, Galileo and GLONASS. The watch should behave politely in case of endurance. The battery has a capacity of 300 mAh and the manufacturer promises two weeks without a charger during normal use. More demanding use should reduce the endurance to a still excellent 10 days. With active GPS use, the endurance is up to 16 hours, which is also very decent.
The Amazfit Active is targeting the US market first, but a launch in other regions is planned. The price should be slightly above the threshold of 4 thousand crowns, including tax.
