Intense rains, storms and coastal phenomena, which this Friday have left copious amounts in the Mediterranean, will continue to affect Catalonia, the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands this Saturday, while stable, dry, sunny weather with few clouds will prevail in the rest of the country, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has warned Alicante, Valencia and Ibiza and Formentera about the risk (yellow) of rains, which can accumulate up to 20 liters per square meter in an hour, and also Ibiza and Formentera because these rains can go accompanied by strong storms. In addition, as a result of the north or northeast wind that will blow with force 7 and will cause waves of 2 to 3 meters, it has also activated the yellow warning for coastal phenomena in Gerona and in all the islands of the Balearic archipelago.

Heavy showers and storms will mainly affect Ibiza and the surroundings of Cabo de la Nao during the early morning hours and strong winds will blow especially, also at dawn, in Ampurdán and the Balearic Islands.

In short, it foresees that the cloudy intervals and the rainfall will affect the Balearic Islands, the south of the Mediterranean area and the Strait and that the strong storms in Ibiza and Cabo de la Nao will remit throughout the morning.

In the rest of the Peninsula, cloudy intervals are expected in the north and in the surroundings of the Central and Iberian systems. In the Canary Islands, cloudy intervals, with weak rainfall in the north of the islands of greater relief.
