After the discovery of two safe babies hidden in a bathtub after the passage of devastating tornadoes in the United States, another beautiful story has just occurred. Nine days after the disaster that ravaged part of Kentucky, a man found his cat Madix under the rubble, reports The Guardian.
“I thought my mind was playing tricks on me”
The offices of this American, located in Mayfield, were completely destroyed. While at the scene to see the extent of the damage, the man heard a meow. “I thought I heard a meow, and I thought my mind was playing tricks on me so I called out his name, and he meowed again,” he recounted.
He is sure: it is about Madix. Helped by employees, he then set out to find her. The tomcat was eventually found in a hole under the rubble. “If cats really have nine lives, he’s probably used about eight in that nine-day period,” the American joked. Safe and sound, Madix was on the other hand very hungry and very thirsty. He therefore returned to his master’s home, still amazed by this reunion.
