Castres eliminated from the European Challenge because of the coronavirus

Castres Olympique leaves the European Challenge without playing. The Tarn club were to face the English Leicester, Sunday, September 20, away in the quarter-finals. But this Saturday, on the eve of the match, the organizer of European competitions (EPCR) formalized the elimination of Castres. The reason: four cases of Covid-19 contamination within the Castres workforce (three players and one staff member). However, the limit to get to England, where the match was to take place, is three cases maximum. The EPCR therefore asked the CO to withdraw.
