The last season of the animated series of Castlevania already debuted in Netflix, but fans are already debating whether the project’s creators might not stop there.
In an interview with ComingSoon, the producer Kevin Kolde was asked if it would be possible to adapt the classic Symphony of the Night in the future, but it looks like the idea will only remain in the imagination for now.
Kolde explained that, as Netflix animation has already explored several striking elements of SotN, such a project would be difficult to get off the ground
From a narrative point of view, Symphony of the Night is an interesting challenge because Alucard has to fight his father, Dracula. But we already did that in the second season. So I’m not sure how we could do the same thing, making it meaningful again. So it would have a lot of challenges to develop that story, but there are also other interesting elements in the game. Richter Belmont and Maria Renard are still exploitable, but I don’t know how we would do a better fight between Alucard and Dracula than we already did, being honest with you.
The first three seasons of the series are available on the platform. The fourth premiere on May 13, 2021.
