Castle News | The families of two famous Turkish actors are under the rubble

Al-Qalaa News: Turkish actor Jagri Chetnak and actress Melissa Asli Pamuk announced that members of their families were under the rubble, after the earthquake that struck several cities in southern Turkey and northern Syria, on the morning of Monday, February 6, 2023.

The earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.4, struck the city of Kahramanmaraş, and its strength reached several other Turkish cities, namely: Gaziantep, Diyarbakir, Osmaniye, Sanliurfa, Hatay, Adiyaman, and Adana.

** Actor Jaggery Chetnak asks for help

Actor Jagri Chetnak wrote, through his Twitter account, a tweet in which he appealed to the Ministry of Interior and the Turkish Presidency of Disasters and Emergencies, as well as his fans following him, because his mother was in one of the buildings that was destroyed by the earthquake.

Chetnak wrote: “Hatay, Antakya, Sumler, this building I was born and raised in, and now it is demolished, my mother was there.”

The Turkish actor, who was introduced to the Arab public in the series “You Knock My Door”, added in the same tweet: “This building is the tallest and most populated permanently. Please communicate and help save more people.”

**Grandmother and aunt of Melissa Pamuk under the rubble

As for the Turkish actress Melissa Asli Pamuk, who became famous through the series “Blind Love”, she indicated that a number of her family members are also stuck under the rubble.

The Turkish actress wrote in a tweet on Twitter: “My grandmother cannot walk, she is sick… She and my aunt are trapped in the building. We do not know what their condition is now.”

Then Melissa added her grandmother’s home address in the comment, and asked the people who were there to try to help them, or to give her any news about them.

** Celebrities express their support for the earthquake victims

On the other hand, a number of Turkish celebrities interacted with the news of the earthquake, which killed more than 900 people and injured thousands.

“I wish God’s mercy for our compatriots who lost their lives in the earthquake that shattered our hearts, and I wish recovery for the injured. Our prayers are with our compatriots under the rubble,” wrote TV presenter and producer Agon Eligili.

While singer Mustafa Sandal wrote: “The 7.4-magnitude earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş unfortunately caused serious damage in neighboring cities such as Diyarbakir, Hatay, Malatya and many other places. May God help all our compatriots in the region.. I hope we will not receive any worse news.” Our prayers are with you.”

While actress Esraa Erol wrote: “I am very sad, my soul is burning. May my beautiful country bless you,” and this is what actress Dimit Ozdemir also commented on.
