On August 17 and 18, for the first time, the association Vacances Découvertes Handicap is organizing two great days of games for children, at the Henri Moret stadium (rugby stadium), from 11 a.m. until evening, “Les Castillonnades”.
It offers you a weekend of games (tug of war, wheelbarrow course, Limbo competition), creative workshops, inflatable games and other activities, all in a friendly and family atmosphere sprinkled with surprises!
The games are open access and admission is free. Come play with your family and have fun, young and old! For the creative workshops, leave proudly with your works and tattoos.
Virginie Billault, the president of VDH Nouvelle-Aquitaine, is full of ideas and has plenty of surprises in store for you in a friendly and musical atmosphere hosted by our volunteer DJ.
Virginie, a fighting mom Laughter and games with the family: Don’t miss the VDH days, created this association last May, by and for her 11-year-old son with ASD and hyperactivity. “My loved ones told me that despite my modest means, I did a lot for my son. I understood that we were certainly not the only ones in this situation and that we could share it with others. Together, we can accomplish great things. That’s how I embarked on this adventure with my son. To my great surprise, it brought us a lot. My son made great progress and we found a social life again.”
The association aims to provide support, sharing and a moment of respite to families where one (or more) member has a slight or moderate disability, visible or invisible or is ill! It provides a break from the daily routine, for a day, a weekend or a stay.
Come and support the Vacances Découvertes Handicaps association.
Refreshments and catering will be offered on site! Virginie will offer you savory, sweet, homemade products! A mega raffle will take place with great prizes!
