Castilla y Léon extends the transfer of vaccines by taxi until July
The Governing Council of the Junta de Castilla y Léon has extended until July 15 the contract for the transport of the personnel and vaccination material of the covid19 campaign.
The award of the service to the different provincial taxi associations has been renewed, in the case of Segovia, to the Professional Association Radio Taxi Segovia for a maximum amount of € 68,200.
In the province, 8 daily routes are planned, 4 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon, for the movement of vaccines and the three members of the team.
As of April 14, in the province of Segovia, vaccination has begun for 23% of the population, with half already vaccinated on a full cycle. A percentage that makes Segovia the third province with the most vaccination coverage after Soria (32.7%) and Zamora (24.7%). In the queue are the “youngest” provinces, Burgos and Valladolid, with a 17% and 18%, respectively.
On the day of April 14, the Segovia Health Management administered 2,068 doses, with which there are already 54,338 inoculated doses. The total number of people vaccinated for the full cycle is 17,988. However, uncertainty remains about the situation of the thousands of Segovians under 60 years of age who were vaccinated at the time with AstraZeneca.
