The Junta de Castilla y León has expanded the services of its precision agriculture application Sativum, which now allows users to find out whether a phytosanitary product is authorised for the intended crop and use, whether the authorisation is about to expire and the maximum and minimum doses permitted.

Sativum is a free application, developed by ITACyL, with preloaded data on plots, such as the Castilla y León soil database, where users can directly download information from their CAP declaration. It allows farmers to monitor their crops with satellite images, access weather information and has an assistant to choose an optimal combination of fertilizers, both organic and inorganic, that adapts to the needs of each plot, among other features.

Integrated into the field notebook module of Sativumwhere farmers can now record various agricultural activities, simply select the plot of interest on the farm dashboard and press the ‘Phytosanitary treatment’ button to access.
