Castilla-La Mancha will administer the first free vaccine against meningococcus B (Bexero) to a child on March 1, which all boys and girls from two months of age can receive.
This has been advanced by the president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano Garcia-Pageduring his visit to the works of the new Puertollano hospital.
“We are going to provide (this vaccine) for free,” emphasized García-Page, who has assured that there are only four autonomous communities that finance it. “That is putting sentiment into health management,” she has defended.
This is one of the novelties of the immunization calendar for the year 2023, together with the human papillomavirus vaccine for children from 12 years of age. The herpes zoster vaccine is also incorporated for the elderly population.
