“The purpose of these visits is to determine how we can support these companies at the departmental level but also get to know each other”, explained Sarah Ghobadi. Boat Box System moved to the first floor of the former Sarfati factory last October, in the Chantre area, bought and renovated by the Ageris 82.

A great example of entrepreneurial success
“Previously, I did everything in my 16m² garage,” recalled David Bernadou, a former non-commissioned officer of Civil Security in Lyon and a sports fisherman. He created Boat Box System in 2017, on the observation that in the fishing industry, there were only lead-acid batteries, polluting, heavy, inefficient and with limited autonomy. He then had the idea of using technologies already proven by the Tesla company to adapt them to this specific environment. Quickly, he obtained lighter lithium batteries, more powerful and with increased autonomy. A technological breakthrough that interests manufacturers of electronic equipment, who do not hesitate to lend it their equipment to carry out tests. At the same time and despite unsuccessful partnership attempts, the company is growing, and the team now has nearly ten employees. Its installation in the premises of Ageris has also enabled it to develop its production rate.
