Music. “Malédiction”, the album of a local child.
Sébastien Agussol, a native of the country, announces the release of the album “Malédiction” by his group “Résilience” and of “24 Days”.
During the first confinement, the group “Résilience” produced their first album of “metal” with a hint of symphony, a bass drum guitar trio and lyrics in French. Sébastien takes care of the symphonic recordings, the mixing; he is also the group’s drummer. What had to be done in two weeks could be done in several months. Sébastien: “It’s a chance to have been able to polish things up so much. But the other side of the coin is that, because of the confinement and various restrictions, we were only able to do one concert, live on Facebook from the grain market in Castelnaudary; we could not publicize the release of the CD in September 2020.
A personal challenge
The album “24 Days” is a personal challenge made from December 1 to 24. Instead of opening the windows of the Advent calendar, every day our artist composed and mixed music, shot and edited a video that was posted on YouTube. The album is entirely composed with virtual instruments: “From my computer I can play a symphony orchestra! You still have to play each note, each articulation by hand, then program them. It takes a lot of time but clearly less space “. Since January all the music has been grouped together in an album available on the listening platforms. (deezer, spotify, apple music…) and on an audio CD available in online store.
A jack of all trades
Sébastien Agussol, thanks to his audiovisual BTS option sound professions, is a jack of all trades: “it is important to know all areas, sound, image, light, video, to understand others and to work intelligently. In the audiovisual sector, you have to be versatile: being a sound technician is not enough in our region, especially when you’re just starting out “. Sébastien is currently a cameraman for rugby matches for different teams. He makes videos on the occasion of events, such as the municipal council of the city of Castelnaudary. He composes music for commercials or video games. Strongly the resumption of concerts and musical activities!
