CD Castellón player Marc Castells has shown himself convinced that his team will go through to the second round of the promotion for promotion to the Second Division, after having lost the opportunity to go up directly against Logroñés on Saturday.
Now he must face the Peña Deportiva Santa Eulalia de Ibiza in a match that will be played this Thursday in the first of the two heats that he needs to overcome if he wants to ascend.
“The team is doing things very well,” explained Castells, who stressed that “the important thing is to get up” and even that he was surprised by the attitude of the team after the game and the state of mind with the conviction that they will give everything in the next game.
Although mistakes prevented Castellón’s promotion, Castells considers that they are on the “line to follow” because the team did “a great job”.
It will not be the first time that Castellón and Peña Deportiva have met in a promotion promotion since they met in the 2015/16 season, but on that occasion it was to go up to Second Division “B”.
Marc Castells was part of that Castellón team. “There is a player left there and it is a team that has good things. It will be a close game in which I think we will carry the weight and be very attentive to their counterattacks,” he concluded.
