CASTELLÓ. Castellón is facing the moment of truth after leaving behind a pre-season full of good feelings and will try to confirm this this Saturday at the start of the official competition. The black and whites will start the League by visiting Eibar, in what will be their return to professional football after the brilliant promotion obtained last season.
The team of Dick Schreuder The club is coming into this debut after clearly improving in its preparation phase. It began its friendly calendar by losing to Levante, but improved considerably afterwards with a commendable draw against Valencia and five consecutive victories, against Al-Wakrah, Elche, Gimnàstic, Hércules and Ibiza. Its goal-scoring record should not go unnoticed, as it has scored on 21 occasions, with notable wins against Elche (0-6) and Gimnàstic (1-6).
In addition, the Albinegra preseason has shown the good level of some of the newcomers, such as Brian Cipenga y Alex Calatravatwo of the most outstanding in the summer friendlies played by the little ears.
The official competition will be a different story, but Castellón faces it with the feeling of having more than fulfilled its six weeks of preparation.
