Mr. Sato plays the main character, Shun Fujishiro, a psychiatrist who has painful memories of his first love. He is a sensitive character searching for his beloved, who has disappeared for some reason. He expresses the loss of the first love that everyone experiences, the joy and pain of love life-size, and pays attention to his heartbreaking appearance. The film adaptation of this work was realized because Mr. Sato had read the original work, and Mr. Kawamura commented, “I would like to thank Mr. Takeru Sato who accompanied the film making from the beginning to the end.”
Mr. Sato, who read the original and sympathized with Fujishiro, said, “Mr. Nagasawa was more sincere than anyone else, did not cut corners, and approached the work with love. He had a kindness and fragility that prioritized others over himself, and yet overlapped with Yayoi, who lived diligently and diligently than anyone else. From the first day of filming with Mr. Mori, most of the scenes were ad-libs, but for the first time, I was really in love with someone and learned the joy of being married. She helped me create Fujishiro. Looking at her smile, I naturally became Fujishiro.”
Fujishiro’s fiancée, Yayoi Sakamoto, will be played by Nagasawa-san, who will be the first full-fledged love story since “50 First Kiss”. She is a mysterious character who suddenly disappears from Fujishiro’s sight, leaving only one word behind. “It was my first time co-starring with Mr. Sato, but I was able to film with confidence because he calmly captures the role and the story, and I thought he was an actor that I could trust. Day by day, I gained a sense of trust in him, and it was fun.”
Fujishiro’s first love, Haru Iyoda, will be played by Ms. Mori, who stars in the drama “Cinderella in Midsummer” which is currently airing on Monday 9th. Unlike the naive character in “Midsummer Cinderella,” she takes on a mysterious and sad role. This work was filmed in the Czech Republic (Prague), Iceland (Reykjavík), Bolivia (Uyuni), the Kanto region, and others. Ms. Mori said, “I traveled to the Czech Republic, Iceland, and Uyuni for my first overseas job in my life, and all of them showed me unbelievably beautiful expressions. I felt like I was playing spring with the world on my side, and I spent every day desperately imprinting it in my head.” .
“When April comes, she will” will be released on March 29, 2024 (Friday) at Toho affiliates nationwide.
