CASI and Ecomethod reduce their CO2 emissions per hectare by one ton

CASI and BMS Micro-Nutrients (Bornem – Belgium) have managed, through a joint project, to reduce CO emissions2 corresponding to the fertilization of the tomato crop in the greenhouse by 30.6%, through the application of Ecomethod.

Ecomethod is the BMS Micro-Nutrients foliar nutrition tool that allows a reduction in the load of fertilizer to the soil. The result is an optimization of contributions and thus achieve a much more rational and sustainable use of resources.

After conducting an exhaustive preliminary study of soil, water, conditions and demands of the crop and variety, lhe technical departments of BMS MN and the CASI Cooperative have created a program of foliar treatments supported by the stimulation of the crop with the contributions of the main products of the Belgian multinational.

In addition to being more sustainable and respectful of the environment, the ECOMETHOD program has significantly improved the production data in terms of quantity and quality of product with an increase of 4.6% in kg / m² and an increase of 1.25% in first quality.

It is one more step towards uproduction that is much more respectful with the environment and towards the implementation of a certification that provides differential value to your final product, without giving up the highest market demands and high production ratios.
