The population can expect further cash bonuses in September: up to 1,000 euros are available as support on the account. All the details.
The 3rd aid package presented by the federal government in June is worth a whopping 28 billion euros. Most of the short-term measures will take effect in September. For minimum pensioners, beneficiaries of social assistance and unemployment benefit, there is an adjustment at the cost of living of around 300 euros.

Many retirees receive direct help of up to 500 euros. And already in September the 500 euro climate bonus and anti-inflation bonus are paid out. “Many people are suffering enormously from rising prices. Our immediate measures bring help to all those who really need it,” stressed Social Affairs Minister Johannes Rauch recently.
500 euros for pensioners
In August, families received an additional family allowance of € 180 per child. Now the next emergency aid is about to be delivered. Approximately 200,000 people with particularly low pensions receiving compensatory allowance, 120,000 social assistance recipients and approximately 250,000 unemployment benefit recipients will receive € 300 in cost of living compensation on their account. The federal government has allocated 180 million euros for this.

For pensioners there is also a one-off extraordinary payment of up to 500 euros. With a pension of between 1,200 and 1,800 euros, the full amount is paid. There is a phasing-in regulation for smaller pensions and a phasing-out regulation for higher pensions up to € 2,250 gross.
The retiree payment corresponds to the cost of living tax credit that employees can claim for tax purposes in early 2023 at the time of the annual adjustment. Both measures are expected to cost € 1.5 billion.
