Casey Shield (Shield / Syldomilia Shirudomiria Tate in Japanese), nicknamed as Shī-chan (Shi-chan), is the protagonist of the Sword and Shield Saga.
Casey Shield is Professor Magnolia’s assistant, who assists her in her research on the Dynamax phenomenon. Casey was first seen meeting a young man named Luis. She took the boy to meet Henry, who had saved his life earlier that day. After a short introduction, Casey offered to let Luis participate in a Dynamax simulation with her and Henry. Together, they fought and defeated a Dynamax hologram of Pangoro, giving Luis the confidence to go on a Pokémon journey. Having received approval from his parents, Luis joined others in their quest to study the Dynamax phenomenon.
Later, they all found Lionel on the outskirts of Par Town, trying to push a large herd of Wooloo away from some train tracks. Casey and Henry stepped in to help, driving away an Obstagoon that was terrorizing the Wooloos. After introducing himself, Lionel came out to appear on a television show on Piston Town. To Luis’ surprise, Casey and Henry revealed that they helped Lionel in hopes that their efforts would leave enough impression to give them an endorsement in the Gym challenge.
Later, the motorhome was attacked by a trio of wild Drednaws. To fight the Bite Pokémon, Henry and Casey each received a SmartRotom with the Pokédex feature installed, officially making them both Pokédex holders. With some help from Sobble, the Drednaws were defeated. Later, Professor Magnolia suggested that Luis stay with Sobble, which he enthusiastically agreed.

In chapter 04, when they arrive at the Wilderness Area, a Pelipper arrives to deliver a package, which contains the uniforms for gym battles, but then Team Yell arrives, attacking to get rid of the competition, but Casey Shield He enlists the help of Henry’s Grookey along with Henry and Team Yell initiates a Gurdurr’s Dynamax raid.
In Chapter 05, Casey tells Luis the story of how he started his journey and how he met Henry, so that he tells how during his visit to the Oniria Forest, he met Zamazenta and Zacian and lost his Pokémon. They arrive at the Hotel Budew and meet Sonia, who tells them the story of the Black Night and they accompany them to Pueblo Hoyuelo, where they meet Paul, Berto and Roxy, who were on Route 3 and asked for their help to move a stone.
In chapter 07 and chapter 08, watch Henry’s fight against Percy, after which he has a fight against Percy, of which he is the victor.
In chapter 09, he has a fight against Cathy, in which Scorbunny evolves into Raboot and manages to defeat her. Paul tells him that he saw Kilo near the place and decides to go there together with him managing to recover him and has a fight against Naboru, managing to defeat him causing Naboru, Percy and Cathy to congratulate her and tell them that a great path awaits them.
In PMSSwSh14, Casey arrives to where Henry is, and tells him that he recovered Kilo and hopes to find the others, in that Sally appears and tells them that the Ladera town gym leader is a mysterious person and that she is the leader of Plié village gym. When they arrive at the hillside town, observe Henry’s fight against Alistair and see how to win, then he has a fight against Alistair having his victory. When he goes to the town Plié, he realizes that Alistair is inside the car and when he realizes that Drakloak has a fight against a Toxtricity and tells Alistair that it is his Pokémon and they wait for his combat to end. When they arrive at Plié town, he has a match against Sally and her Alcremie where he loses and ends his trip to the gym competition, getting sad but Henry tells him that he will face helping to find them. When she finds out that there is a Dracovish attacking, she disguises herself so that they do not recognize her, managing to make several trainers not realize that it is her. When they arrive to Auriga town, Mel realizes that they are Henry and Casey in disguise.
