A new epidemic could hit the Var. This is the West Nile virus. According to the ARS, three indigenous cases have been identified in the Toulon region (one in La Garde and another in Pradet). The contaminations therefore took place in France. Today the victims are out of danger, all are on the mend.

Note that this disease is transmitted by mosquitoes. It is not transmitted from human to human. The symptoms of this mosquito are similar to those of the flu (fever, headache and body aches, etc.).
