Cases of Monkeypox and FMD Continue to Increase, Could it Be a Pandemic?

To prevent the spread of PMK in Central Java, Ganjar also mobilized the Livestock Jogo which was adopted from the Jogo Tonggo program during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition, there is also the Livestock Bolo movement which includes groups of breeders, extension workers, doctors, to Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas.

Through these two movements, Ganjar emphasized the data collection of livestock as the basis for vaccination.

“We have data on where the cows are, how many are there, we will report later and then we will send the vaccine and the team down. Thank you doctor for injecting the vaccine. This is our effort to immediately do that,” he said.

Vaccination in animals, according to Ganjar, is one of the main prevention of FMD. For this reason, he encourages the central government, especially the Ministry of Agriculture, if it has received another vaccine so that it will be immediately distributed to the regions

“Because it is airborne, it becomes very dangerous in the air. So the main prevention is the vaccine quickly. We are ready and here, friends from the district/city to the sub-district and village levels, as well as the doctors are all ready. Then let others help,” he said.

In addition, the Central Java Provincial Government is also preparing a guidebook for Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas. The manual will provide knowledge related to PMK.

“We are also preparing a guide book for Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas so that later they will also have knowledge about it. At least it shows and it turns out that the injection is not easy, it is not silent, it must be held by many people. Hopefully this can do prevention more quickly, “concluded Ganjar.
