The first dengue epidemiological bulletin of 2023, released yesterday by the State Department of Health (SESA), reveals that 198 municipalities in Paraná have already had confirmed cases and 168 have registered autochthonous disease, when the disease is contracted in the municipality of residence.

According to the weekly report nº 20, the data accumulated from August 2022 to January 3 of this year registers 2,284 confirmed cases, 6,041 suspects, 33,276 notifications and three deaths.

Compared to the last bulletin, published on 20 December, there was an 18% increase in notifications (4,997) and 14% in new confirmed cases (282).
