Cases are increasing in Montreal bars

At least 15 more people have contracted COVID-19 from frequenting Montreal bars in the past few days, bringing the total to 45 cases from these licensed establishments, TVA News learned on Thursday.

On Tuesday, public health confirmed thirty cases of COVID in nine different bars, distributed in several sectors from east to west.

At the time, there was no single concentrated case. However, on Thursday, one establishment alone reported 12 cases of COVID-19 with active transmission.

Six establishments report more than one case and 14 bars at least one confirmed case.

Finally five Montrealers contracted the virus at Mile Public House, located in Quartier Dix30 in Brossard.
