Along the state road 517 Var “Bussentina”, in Caselle in Pittari, maintenance work has started on the viaduct “Santo Lia II“, for a total investment of approximately 3 million euros. In detail, starting today – Monday 30 September – the one-way alternating route will be active from km 12.370 to km 12.770 to allow the execution of preparatory activities for the interdiction of the road section and the consequent diversion of traffic – starting from Wednesday 2 October – along an adjacent temporary bypass, built in hoc from Anas.
Along this bypass, traffic will be regulated with alternating one-way traffic until October 9th, to allow the completion of the activities for the creation of appropriate signage; subsequently the construction site on the bypass will be removed and transit will be able to use the entire roadway.
The intervention – whose completion is scheduled for next summer – will mainly consist of the demolition of the reinforced concrete deck and the reconstruction of a new one with a modern structuremixed steel-concrete, made with double “T” beams in metal carpentry connected by a reinforced concrete slab, in the reinforcement of the piles and reconstruction of the pillars and abutments, in the installation of modern anti-seismic systems and in complementary works such as the installation of new road safety barriers, creation of new paving and related signs.
