Case of Jeffrey Epstein: U.S. Attorney says Prince Andrew is uncooperative

In the abuse scandal about the US millionaire Jeffrey Epstein US investigators accuse Prince Andrew of lack of cooperation. Prosecutors and that FBI Andrews lawyers have contacted and asked to speak but haven’t received an answer yet, prosecutor Geoffrey Berman said in New York. “So far, Prince Andrew has not worked together.”

Epstein committed suicide in a New York prison last August. He was accused of having abused dozens of minors and forced prostitution.

One of his victims also throws Prince Andrew publicly claimed to have abused her. Virginia Giuffre said in a BBC interview that she had been forced to have sex with the Royal three times, twice as a 17-year-old. The attacks are said to have occurred in 2001 and 2002. The Royal denies the allegations.

Prince Andrew had been friends with Epstein for many years and was an overnight guest on his estate in the United States and the Caribbean. He does not want to have heard of his machinations. Even after Epstein’s first stay in prison, Andrew had not given up contact with him, which he now publicly regretted.

After a completely unsuccessful interview, with which he actually wanted to restore his battered reputation, the prince decided to put his duties as a member of the royal family on hold for the time being. He also promised to help the investigative authorities.
