The old number can be removed” and further messages the perpetrator was able to gain her trust. Another message also reported an open invoice for more than 2,000 euros. Due to the destroyed cell phone and the no longer available internet banking, the alleged daughter would no longer have had the opportunity to transfer the money herself. The mother should please give instructions.

The fraudster succeeded in persuading the woman to have the husband transfer the money. However, due to a transfer limit, only part of the amount could be sent. The rest should follow in the following days. After the husband phoned the real daughter the following day, the fraud was finally exposed.
