Mumbai: Mumbai police have filed a case against his partner Anahita Pandola in connection with the death of former Tata Sons president Cyrus Mistry in a car accident. Anahita was driving the car at the time of the accident. Anahita is a well-known gynecologist from Mumbai.
On September 5, the car in which Mistry and his team were traveling crashed in Palghar, Maharashtra. Jehangir Pandol, Mistry’s friend and passenger, also lost his life in the accident when the car hit the median. Anahita and her husband Darius, who were in the car with them, were seriously injured in the accident.
Police said the cause of the accident was the car’s carelessness and excessive speed. That is why a case against Anahita was registered, the police added. Police registered the case after recording the statement from Anahita’s husband, Darius. Darius was released from the hospital late last month.
Darius testified that Anahita was driving the car on the way to Mumbai. A car ahead of them had moved from the third lane to the second lane. The PTI news agency quoted a police officer who claimed that Anahita was also following the same pattern. Reported.
