Case against journalists on complaint from Suresh Gopi

Earlier, reports had emerged that an investigation would be initiated against Union Minister Suresh Gopi on the complaint filed by former MP Anil Akkara. The statement of Thrissur ACP, Anil Akkara will be recorded in the complaint. Thrissur police will take report tomorrow at 11 am.

In a Facebook post shared yesterday, Anil had said that insulting and assaulting media workers is an offense under the BNS and the Police Act. the Thrissur Ram Nilayam under the Police Act and Minister of State Suresh Gopi. Besides, he had argued that the encroachment of the government-owned Ram Nilayam by a person who had taken oath according to the constitution was a breach of oath.
