Casablanca stock exchange starts the week in the red

The Casablanca Stock Exchange was down, on Monday in the first exchanges, its two main indices, Masi and Madex, yielding 0.15% each.



A few minutes after the opening, the Masi, a global index made up of all stock-type securities, fell to 10,241.58 points and the Madex, a compact index made up of stocks quoted on a continuous basis, fell to 8,325.08 points.



In terms of international indices, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 index gained 0.08% to 9,109.72 while the FTSE CSE Morocco All-Liquid climbed 0.02% to 8,790.67 points.

The benchmark Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) “Casablanca ESG 10”, meanwhile, yielded 0.38% to 779.08 points.

At individual values, IB Maroc.com fell by 3.85%, the Masi’s sharpest decline at the start of the session, while Atlanta, Snep, and Managem lost 2.78%, 2.23% and 0.1% respectively .

On the upside, SMI (+ 3.93%), Med Paper (+ 3.92%), Lydec (+ 1.31%) and Minière Touissit (+ 0.72%) were in positive territory.

On Friday, the Casablanca Stock Exchange ended up, its two main indices Masi and Madex taking 0.27% and 0.29% respectively.
