Casa Tlaxcala in New York will support migrants

The Governor of Tlaxcala, Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros, inaugurated the facilities of “Casa Tlaxcala” in the city of New York, United States, which will serve as a government representation to provide advisory services and support of various procedures to migrants.

The venue will offer 15 services, among which advice to obtain dual nationality, apostille of documents, clarification of minutes, processing for a driver’s license, family reunification program, repatriation of people who die of various causes, support for the search for missing persons , as well as passport and identity document procedures.

During the event, Cuéllar recalled that since his campaign he promised to create this office in which nationals have the support of state authorities and that at the same time will serve as a link with their communities of origin.

He also highlighted the perseverance of the Tlaxcalans who, despite adversity, managed to get ahead in another country and with their work have raised the name of the entity.

The Commissioner for Immigration Affairs of the New York Mayor’s Office, Manuel Castro, recognized Cuéllar’s will and commitment to grant his fellow citizens this space.

Later, Governor Cuéllar Cisneros received the second group of the Family Reunification Program “Uniting Histories”, from Tlaxcala and whom the government, through the Directorate of Attention to Migrants (DAM), supported with the expenses of transfer to the airport. from Mexico City and with 50 percent of the cost of the flight.
