Casa Pia today imposed a 1-1 draw on Benfica at the Luz Stadium, in a game from the ninth round of the I Football League, in which they even wasted a penalty.
The ‘reds’, who were coming off a defeat in the Champions League and saw a series of seven consecutive victories in the championship interrupted, were still ahead, with a goal from João Mário, at 44, but Casa Pia, who saw Felippe missed a penalty in the 54th minute – allowing Trubin to save -, equalizing in the 81st, through Gaizka Larrazabal.
Despite the draw, Benfica reaches the provisional leadership of the championship, with 22 points, the same as Sporting, second and who plays on Monday at Boavista’s home, while Casa Pia is 10th, with 10.
