- It will be reflected in the bridge of Av. Monseñor Pablo Cabrera and Circunvalación.
- The popular character Zazá will be one of the protagonists in the 2,500 m2 mural.
Within the framework of the “Art of Our People” program, the Municipality of Córdoba began a new artistic intervention of 2,500 square meters on the bridge of Av. Monseñor Pablo Cabrera and Circunvalación to pay tribute to the cartoonist, cartoonist and graphic humorist Carlos ” Black ”Ortíz.
The choice of place, the neuralgic point of access to our city, responds to the proximity to the headquarters of the newspaper La Voz del Interior, a company where Ortíz worked for more than 15 years. The execution of the work has the support of Caminos de las Sierras.
The popular “Zazá” will be one of the main characters that, through the recreation of the remembered cartoons of Ortíz, will be reflected on the walls along with a gallery of characters that are part of the immense legacy of the “Negro”, patrimony of the national culture and fundamental work that allows us to reflect the identity of Cordoba and address our recent history.
The work by the artist Lucho Cartoon will require 15 days of work.
With this unique tribute, the municipality continues with the comprehensive plan for the recovery and enhancement of public space, in this case through urban art, generating a friendlier city and generating the encounter between cultural production and the community.
The Art of Our People program of the Undersecretariat of Culture, dependent on the Government Secretariat, completed 30,000 square meters of urban art in the city, reflected in more than 100 murals of different formats and local artists.
This program also offers a participatory and diverse approach, which promotes local identities through the participation of neighbors, adding lines of community work.
