The Sports area of the Cártama City Council has organized a new edition of the Sports Parade, which was held this morning in the Cártama Sports City. At this event, the municipal and agreed sports schools were presented, as well as the municipal sports clubs with grassroots sports teams, which have nearly 5,000 registered people.
Through this event, the extensive sports portfolio practiced in Cártama is highlighted, as well as new sports are made known to citizens through exhibitions and open days. This parade not only celebrated sport, but also highlighted the values it encompasses such as camaraderie, teamwork, respect and the spirit of improvement.
The day began with the parade of schools and clubs of the following sports disciplines: soccer, indoor soccer, cycling, paddle tennis, adapted sports, skating, basketball, multisport, physical activity for seniors, figure skating, shorinji kempo, handball, pickleball, tennis , adult fitness, table tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, caving, athletics, aikido, kyudo, iaido and volleyball. During the day, commemorative plaques were presented to schools, clubs and collaborating entities by the mayor, Jorge Gallardo, and the Sports Councilor, Juan Antonio Vargas.
After the parade, various exhibitions and open days of the different sports disciplines were held, where attendees had the opportunity to practice them. The little ones were also able to have fun in the workshops that were organized for the occasion.
This event has been organized by the Sports area of the Cártama City Council, with the collaboration of Civil Protection, the Malacitana Animation Association and the Code-K Youth Correspondents Association and is sponsored by Covirán, Ambulances Ayón and Aquarel.
