The car carrying bank money crashed and then overturned in Malai V area of Batang Asan tribe, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra (West Sumatra). The money in the car safe was scattered.
Reported detikSumatraTraffic Director for West Sumatra Regional Police Kombes Hilman Wijaya said there was an accident involving a minibus with police number B-9094-PTC on Friday (6/1/2023). This machine carries money belonging to the BIS Bank.
“Temporary estimates, the car went out of control because the road was slippery. Maybe it was raining or avoiding something,” Hilman told reporters.
Hilman said the car hit a pillar of a resident’s home before overturning. The overturned car caused the money that was in the car to scatter. Several local residents who helped with the evacuation collected and secured the money.
However, after the police arrived, residents were asked to return the money raised. Meanwhile, 2 bank officials were seriously injured.
“Incidentally, a group from the West Sumatra Regional Police Popsivo volleyball team passed the scene and then assisted in the process of raising money and helping the victims,” he said.
