Carry On – Stories in The Time Of Corona, Documentary Series from Canon

Jakarta, 11 November 2021 – Canon through PT Datascrip as the sole distributor of its digital imaging products in Indonesia presents “CARRY ON – STORIES IN THE TIME OF CORONA”, a documentary series consisting of six episodes that tells the story of workers who struggle during the pandemic. with all their limitations.This story is expected to inspire people not to give up easily with the situation.

This work by one of EOS Creators Indonesia, Reyhan Aliy, a professional photographer and videographer as well as the founder of Carito Films Creative House, tells about the condition of the workers around us by looking at all the characteristics of the characters in it, as well as lessons about how they work. to survive in the midst of a pandemic. By depicting biographies, this documentary aims to be a valuable motivational and inspirational medium for the audience.

This documentary series consists of 6 episodes with different professional backgrounds and life stories in each episode.
Episode 1 “Monthly so Daily” tells of a figure named Hidayat who is a former employee at a printing company who was laid off because his company’s turnover continues to lose money. Even so, Hidayat was not discouraged, he kept fighting and kept trying to meet the needs of his family starting from working as a casual coolie to an online motorcycle taxi driver.

Episode 2 “Rehearsal from the Room” tells of a theater actor who suddenly lost his stage when the Covid 19 pandemic came, so he had to rack his brain to find income to meet his needs. Muhammad Afrizal felt that hobbies and finances both fell, being chased with the rest of the energy but after that, it became a daily routine. No catharsis, no options, no guarantee of when stage honors will be reclaimed. This episode is an appreciation of respect from Canon Indonesia for artists

Episode 3 “Guru Forever” tells the story of an honorary teacher located in Cikalongkulon named Deni who tirelessly teaches his students various life lessons. Simplicity and sincerity to keep fighting in the midst of existing limitations. Honorary appreciation from Canon for all teachers in Indonesia with tireless struggles, as well as for every student and guardian of students who fight for education from their respective limitations. Episode 4 “Nurse Since Mind” tells the story of Minola Rivai or commonly called Mimi, a mother of two children who works as a nurse for home care patients who also provides rapid-antigen testing. Mimi talked about how she was dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic situation, starting from the dilemma of choosing between serving as a nurse or her own family, to the unique experiences of the positive Covid-19 patients she treated to get healthy again. This episode is an appreciation of honor and gratitude from Canon Indonesia to all health workers who are fighting for humanity.

Episode 5 “So Fully Daddy” tells the story of Muhammad Hamidun or Dudun who works as a Wedding Photographer and has just been blessed with a child. When Covid-19 struck, he immediately lost a job order because of the prohibition of wedding receptions, his role as a father was at stake, until finally he turned to selling food products in order to survive with the help of his wife.

Episode 6 “Goyang Bone Back” tells the story of Nia Izzati, a dangdut singer and mother of two who has to struggle alone to fulfill her daily needs, from eating to other needs without being accompanied by her husband. However, things changed when the Covid-19 pandemic came and made him quit the profession which is his main source of income due to lack of demand to perform. In order to meet the needs of her two children, Nia is willing to work anything, from drivers, cafe waiters to couriers selling online. This episode is an honorary appreciation from Canon Indonesia to all mothers and heads of families in fighting for their children to achieve their goals.

“It is not easy to raise the theme of life because there are many sad stories that are told. However, we see this condition as a turning point for everyone to be able to rise from all limitations, because the pandemic is felt by everyone, regardless of social level, gender and age.
