A food item sold in Carrefour points is removed from the market with immediate effect. Details on this potential risk.
Carrefour has issued a food recall notification which concerns a product sold in supermarkets bearing its brand.

It is about Tuscan crostini which unfortunately are not suitable for marketing due to an important problem concerning the health of consumers.
In fact, some more than necessary analyzes, carried out on samples of this food item sold by Carrefour, led to the emergence of an important misunderstanding.
The presence of Listeria monocytogenes is confirmed in these Tuscan-style croutons which therefore should not be consumed at all. Unfortunately the product was already inserted in the usual commercial circuits.

Carrefour, how to recognize the product contaminated by Listeria
To recognize them, you need to check the lot number, while there are no precise indications regarding the expiry date or minimum storage term. The lot number is 210510, time references instead come from the sale at the deli counter or take away, between 14 May and 24 June.

This food is produced by Tempestini Spa for GS Spa in a factory located in Prato. And it is also possible to consult a special toll-free telephone number to request any clarifications and information.
The number is 800 650650. For anyone who has this food product at home, the advice is to bring it back to the nearest Carrefour store. With the return it will be possible to enjoy the possibility of obtaining a refund of the amount spent.
