The “Carrefour” hypermarket chain, at the Dandy Mall branch, announced that a staff member had been infected with the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19).
The company added, in a statement published on its official page on the social networking site Facebook, that the symptoms of the virus appeared on the worker after being quarantined in the home quarantine, since April 9.
The company indicated that all aspects of health care are provided to the worker by the competent authorities.
“Carrefour” said that the precautionary measures were applied to those in contact with the case: “They were directed to domestic isolation … while the sterilization and disinfection process was carried out twice.”
The company emphasized that the work in the “Dandy Mall” store is continuing, stressing the need for customers to respect the rules of social separation during visiting the store.
On Monday, Egypt recorded 189 new cases of coronavirus (Covid 19) and 11 deaths in the largest daily toll of infections so far.
