International star, symbol of feminine lightness and tenacity at the same time, Raffaella Carrà with her uncovered navel and Tuca Tuca was able to interpret the desire for freedom and transgression in the 70s and publicly committed herself to support ideal and social battles: respect for the LGBT community, the promotion of distance adoptions, great attention to the professional training of young people.
She passed away on July 5, 2021 at the age of 78, in silence, because she had hidden the disease that had struck her. She wanted to be remembered as she had always been: beautiful and sparkling, with her unmistakable, loud laugh.
In an intimate and delicate journey, Raffaella tells the story of her companions in life and work, the friends of the many card games in Porto Santo Stefano, the place she had chosen to be only Raffaella Pelloni and not la Carrà. Between amusing anecdotes (“he always wanted to win at cards and before the shows he filled his dressing room with salt because he was superstitious”) and acts of great generosity (in his will also a sum of money to finance the small short film festival in Porto every year Santo Stefano dedicated to young directors) emerges the portrait of a woman with many personalities, who wanted the urn with her ashes to be carried by the friars of San Giovanni Rotondo and then kept in the Argentario in the small cemetery of Porto Santo Stefano.

Che Carrà” is a journey into the world of Raffaella with the testimonies, among others, of Paolo De Andreis, head of many of his programs on Rai, Letterio Magazzù, the organizer of his events all over the world, Stefano Forti , dancer and choreographer, Luca Sabatelli, the costume designer who created Raffaella’s look, Vasco Stolzi, her make-up artist, Giancarlo Turri, Raffaella’s hairdresser, Marinetta Saglio, her photographer and Petra Conti, an international étoile who had the opportunity thanks to Raffaella to go to study abroad.
Raffaella Carrà is the history of television, but she has also sold 60 million records, published in 37 countries around the world.
The direction of the special is by Cinzia Perreca and the original music was composed by maestro Paolo Di Sabatino.
