Jamie Carragher he criticized the interview Cristiano Ronaldo. The ex-Liverpool player felt that Ronaldo was craving attention, so he conducted a controversial interview.
Cristiano Ronaldo has finally spoken about his situation at Manchester United. On the Piers Morgan Uncensored show, the Portuguese star released her feelings.
Ronaldo felt betrayed by MU after manager Erik ten Hag and several other officials asked him to leave. He also openly said he has no respect for Ten Hag.
Carragher criticized Ronaldo’s interview which he said spoiled the happiness of MU fans who were celebrating their victory over Fulham. Not only that, he also said that Ronaldo was just looking for attention.
“I thought the comments were strange. They hurt given the timing – to capitalize on the joy of the Manchester United fans after their Fulham win with a late goal,” Carragher wrote in Sky Sports.
“This should give them (fans) happiness for a month when the league starts again. They should have fun and then comes Ronaldo’s interview and boom – it’s about the negatives.”
“Not the team, not the manager, it’s about Cristiano Ronaldo. And it’s been like that since he came back. It was basically a Cristiano Ronaldo show.”
“Sometimes he’s good on the pitch, last season he scored a lot of goals. But this season he’s not very involved and he craves the attention he can’t get because he’s not on the pitch. The only way to get that is by causing trouble and that’s the point of doing interviews,” Carragher said.
