Carom on D7. The highway to Prague was closed, there were long queues

/PHOTO/ An accident involving two trucks and a van closed the D7 highway in Prague on the morning of Tuesday, July 30. In Knovíz, according to the police, a truck driver ran into a maintenance vehicle, one of the injured was taken to the hospital by paramedics. A large amount of diesel and oil got on the road. Cleaning up the aftermath lasted until the afternoon. Long queues formed on the road, drivers had to make difficult detours, and the surrounding roads were congested.

The journey to the capital also became more complicated for a number of drivers from Lounsko, Chomutovskogo and Mostek. “The direction to Prague is completely impassable. We are dealing with a traffic accident involving two trucks and a van. One person was injured at the site and there was a large leak of operating fluids. It will take us a long time to clean up the aftermath,” the fire department informed.

The accident happened on D7 behind the entrance from Knovíz and Jemník to Slaný. Police diverted traffic at the nearest exit. But the surrounding roads were very congested, drivers had to expect difficulties and delays. Long columns also stood directly at D7. “The accident happened on the 17th kilometer of the D7 highway in the direction of Prague. The truck driver was moving into the right lane, where the road maintenance vehicles were parked at the time, into which he crashed,” said police spokeswoman Barbora Schneeweissová, adding that the incident is still under investigation.

One of the trucks had a completely demolished cabin, the other was partially out of traffic. The van ended up in a ditch. There was a lot of diesel and oil on the road. The important move to Prague was closed until the afternoon.
