Journalists wondered where the success of the BoerBurgerBeweging came from. Despite the fact that Caroline van der Plas’s party has only one seat in the House of Representatives, the party gets a lot of media attention. According to a sour CDA member, there is no BBB at all, but it’s all about CCC – ‘Caroline, Caroline, Caroline’. The BBB politician could not resist responding to this.
The BoerBurgerBeweging managed to surprise friend and foe this political year. With relatively little media attention, the party easily won a seat in March. Since then, the party has been successful in attracting attention. Caroline van der Plas makes herself heard in The Hague and at the necessary media appearances. Bee RTL News she wanted to explain the BBB phenomenon, but unfortunately they came up with a resentful CDA member.
“It’s very much about Caroline. It is not a BBB, but CCC: Caroline, Caroline, Caroline,” said the Deventer CDA party leader Henk Groothuis, with whom Van der Plas collaborated in 2017 when she wanted to become active for the local CDA. Now she can suddenly count on fierce criticism:
“It’s a revenue model. We had high expectations of her at the CDA in Deventer. But when it didn’t work out, we never saw her again.”
Well, some CDA members are still sour about the fact that voters have walked away en masse from the great party of the past. Van der Plas could not resist leaving a comical reaction to this news. According to the politician, it is not surprising that it revolves around ‘Caroline, Caroline, Caroline’, since her party only has one seat and therefore only one representative in the House.
