The show took place in the city of Rio de Janeiro and was devoted to presenting the “2024 Tour Collection” of the house
Carolina Herrera chose Rio de Janeiro as a destination to present its 2024 collection. The 70 looks included in her show carried a message of support for every woman who combines elegance and strength, and knows very well how to have beautiful times, regardless of circumstances.
The house’s creative director, Wes Gordon, is known for his bold and colorful designs. And he was keen to present a group of designs that celebrated the vibrant colors, lively prints, and flexibility that the house is keen to consider as an essential feature in its woman. He seized the opportunity to show in Rio to take his creativity to new horizons, maintaining its association with the founder of the house, Mrs. Carolina Herrera, who is of Venezuelan origin. The choice of venue for the show was also linked to the success that Carolina Herrera’s fashion and perfumes had achieved in Brazil.
The outdoor show was drenched in rain, and despite these conditions, the models showed a very professional level that perfectly embodied the determination of the Carolina Herrera woman. As the models walked the runway barefoot, with their shoes in hand and smiles on their faces, this scene summed up the essence of a woman. Carolina Herrera is passionate and grateful.
The collection included brightly colored gowns with voluminous petal-like sleeves, as well as designs adorned with flowers, big bows, long slits, and even polka dots that are iconic prints of the house featured on skirts, belts, and shoes. Fringes entered some of the looks, while others were executed with crochet threads.
This collection was able to present many styles of fashion: from sporty style to long dresses that are adopted for occasions, which were decorated with layers of huge ruffles executed in vibrant colors that add vitality to the look. Check out some of her looks below.
