Carola backs Israel’s participation in this year’s Eurovision song contest.
Now she directs criticism at those who booed when Eden Golan entered the stage.
“Where did ‘United by music’ go?”, she writes on Instagram.
During Saturday’s Eurovision final, the hit icon was Carola57, with and paid tribute to Abba during one of the interludes.
Now the artist says that she is thoroughly dissatisfied – partly with her own effort but also the turbulence surrounding Israel’s participation in the competition, where Eden Golan20, competed for his country.
“Eurovision is an interesting thermometer of the world’s “pk-fest” in the middle of all the music that is intended to unite. Nevertheless, the audience stands and makes a political frenzy in the middle of a live broadcast for a 20-year-old singer where the country has fulfilled all the EBU’s requirements to be able to participate. Which Russia did not. How difficult should it be for them to distinguish between drives and facts? And where did ‘United by music’ go?”, she writes in a post on Instagram.

Critical of Ireland’s contribution
She also points a holy boot at Ireland’s remarkable contribution. The artist Bambie Thugs31, has prominently been described as occult and about a witch.
A contribution Carola, who is both a Christian and active in the Church of Sweden, poses a question.
“Then there was that with Ireland’s contribution. Satanic ritual on stage in front of an audience of billions and people who have not chosen to have a horde of demons against them. What happens? Or is it just me and a few others who reacted?”, writes the artist.
“As if I were to stand and sing that Jesus is risen and the blood cleanses us from all sin on repeat! Had I got it? Probably not. If there is something we should preserve now, it is to keep our hearts warm and pure, I think. What do you think?”.

Carola annoyed with herself
It was towards the end of this year’s big Eurovision final that Carola sang “Waterloo” with two other Eurovision winners – Charlotte Perrelli49, and Conchita Wurst35.
This is to draw attention to the fact that it was 50 years ago that Abba took home Sweden’s first victory in Eurovision.
Carola explains that she is annoyed with herself because she sang “a little wobbly” at the beginning of the performance. This is because she had too poor listening on stage.
They also didn’t have much time to rehearse the number properly or talk to each other about clothing choices, writes Carola.
“We met the day before and didn’t have much coaching about either movement patterns or clothing choices, but it still went well. I had to change to the gold coat at the last moment as we became a little too similar in tone, Charlotte and I. And the position was too late to change in terms of image,” writes Carola.
