The wife of former president of the Generalitat Quim Torra, Carola Miró, died on Saturday night at the age of 58 in Salt (Girona) after fighting cancer for more than 9 years.
The Office of the former president said this Sunday in a statement that she died at the Santa Caterina Hospital with her husband and three children: Carola, Guillem and Helena.
In the statement, Torra sends “a message of strength and courage to all the people who are fighting cancer.”
Carola Miró i Bedós was born in Barcelona in 1965, studied Teaching and dedicated herself to teaching at the Thau primary school in Barcelona, ”especially committed, like her, to the language and the country.”
He was part of the Reagrupament lists for the province of Barcelona in the 2010 Parliamentary elections (in position 77) and was part of foundations, associations and volunteers.
By Miró’s wish, his farewell will take place “in the strictest privacy and without protocol service”, and the Office has provided the email [email protected] to send condolences.
