Caro Jaramillo rescues a 1-1 draw for Chivas against Tigres

Mexico City. Carolina Jaramillo barely returned to the field after being separated from the Chivas squad and demonstrated her value to the team. The striker rescued Guadalajara by scoring the goal in the final stretch that allowed them to draw 1-1 with the leader Tigres, on matchday 13 of the Clausura 2024 tournament of the Liga Mx Femenil.

Although they avoided defeat, the Guadalajara team has still not found victory after four consecutive games under the command of Joaquín Moreno, who has been questioned about his performance on the bench. Thus, Guadalajara is in sixth place with 21 points, while the Monterrey team remains at the top with 35 points.

In a close match played at the Guadalajara stadium, the first goal came after an error by the locals. Jacqueline Ovalle (75) took a powerful free kick and goalkeeper Celeste Espino failed to release the ball which ended up inside the area.

Given the disadvantage, helmsman Joaquín Moreno had to lift the punishment for Jaramillo and sent her to the field. The striker responded immediately by receiving a filtered pass to send it into the net in the 87th minute, a goal with which she demonstrated her hierarchy as a player.
